A Boat-A Lake-Two Sets of Contestants & Plenty of Game Fish
Weekend amateur fishermen are put into all types of boats, given basic instructions, a set of rules and left to compete the best they can. Teams representing countries from around the world compete for trophy and prizes in "Fish Blast", a reality-based TV show.
The teams are organized by nationality, much like soccer’s world cup. There are twenty-four teams, with two members per team. In each half hour episode's two teams square off, fishing from a canoe, a kayak, rubber dinghy, paddleboat, raft, or a small aluminum. They have eight hours to find, make and win their lures, then catch the biggest fish to move on to the final.
